SUMMARY:May Club Meeting- at Rocky Hill
DESCRIPTION:Our Monthly Meeting is in person! \n\n\n\nMeeting Topic: RF Safety and Field Day Planning. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting in the parish hall at: Trinity Episcopal Church Rocky Hill\, One Park Avenue\, Rocky Hill\, NJ 08553 https://www.trinityrockyhill.org/ \n\n\n\nThe church building is just off Crescent Ave. at Panicaro Park (off 518) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis month we will meet in-person. We will simulcast the meeting on Webex (see club e-mail from John DeGood) for those unable to attend in person. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery year hams should evaluate compliance with RF safety. This meeting we will start with a short program to go over a simple tool reviewed in “Ria’s Ham Shack” and we will talk about antenna RF safety for ARRL Field Day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor the main part of the meeting we will have both a brainstorming exercise for using our Field Day site and discussion of written questions at the end. Consider joining or leading teams for Safety\, Antennas\, Setup\, Food (or more) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlso\, we will talk about Summer Activities during July and August\, and pick a topic for our guest speaker to present at the June Meeting. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are grateful to the Trinity Church and to Bob WA2BSP for arranging the meeting space! Please bring some small bills to donate to the congregation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nALSO: Before the meeting you are invited to visit the Field Day site\, 1 mile up the hill on Route 518\, However\, be careful! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe FD site’s driveway has a chain across it\, you cannot drive up the driveway. AND…\n\n\n\nYou can pull off the road on the Westbound side of Route 518 ONLY. Drive east from Rocky Hill (toward Franklin Park)\, turn around and come back west to the site. AND…\n\n\n\nRoute 518 is high speed and goes around a blind corner at the driveway SIGNAL AND SLOW DOWN.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nField Day site is at: 40.402757\, -74.613714 lat/lon on the WESTBOUND site (actually\, going southwest at this point.) When you are there\, you will see why we selected the site. However\, we have not cleaned up the parking area\, so be safe from ticks and rose bushes! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFD Site is about 1 mile from Church in Rocky Hill (North is up)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n 0 \n\n \n \n \n 0
