SUMMARY:Experimenter's Cookout
DESCRIPTION:Charlie’s back yard…. various experiments\, bring something you want to work on\, or help out others working on their experiments. See group e-mail for details. The evening starts with cookout food/ pot luck food (if you want to bring something…) \n\n\n\nThe back yard has space to try putting up an antenna and seeing if it tunes (nanoVNA available) or what ever other experiments you want. \n\n\n\nWe may try a RTTY net at 7:30 on 40 Meters… check your e-mail as time approaches. You can transmit\, or listen with an SDR dongle (and FLDIGI software to decode) \n\n\n\nCheck e-mail for more. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n 0 \n\n \n \n \n 0

SUMMARY:Winter Field Day 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Winter Field Day association ( https://winterfieldday.com/ ) has updated their website. \n\n\n\nIn the past\, our club has participated as a group score. We could also participate as a field operation… the WFDA says “WFD is a learning experience\, and we hope at the end of this year’s WFD exercise\, you will feel more confident about your ability to adapt and overcome adverse weather conditions.” Forming a team to do this… if there is interest. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“At the end of the day\, your total points don’t matter. What you learn during WFD and your ability to adapt and overcome sudden obstacles is what will help you during unexpected emergencies. As we continue with another year of the WFD exercise\, we want to encourage participants not to chase the contacts or the points but to test their abilities and equipment. If you want to exchange signal reports\, please give each other accurate information\, so the other station knows how well their station is working.” – WFDA \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n 0 \n\n \n \n \n 0
