Radio Merit Badge Day (help)

Steve Huston – W2SRH is running a radio merit badge day 2023 at TCNJ. The Radio Club has a history of helping with this large event. Helpers and Instructors (8AM start) are welcome. Contact Steve W2SRH directly.

Steve writes:

After a hiatus of a few years, I am pleased to announce the return of
the annual Radio Merit Badge Day at TCNJ on Saturday January 7th!
This event has been held for many years – I was at the first one at
Sarnoff Labs, and have been at the last few held in the STEM center –
and faithfully orchestrated by Gary Wilson (K2GW).  This year, Gary
has passed the torch to me to run the event, and I am reaching out to
you for assistance.

Since renovations have been completed in Armstrong Hall, we will be
located there this year.  The event runs from 8AM to 4PM for
instructors.  Please reply to me privately* by November 30th if you are
available to help.

If you have helped in the past if you have a preference for which job
you do at the event. I will try to finish compiling that information by
December 11th and have a completed roster to send out.

I thank you for all that you do for the amateur community and for
scouting.  This event is well known in the area for introducing
amateur radio to youth, and your excitement for the hobby and
willingness to share it could be the spark that kindles a love of
something new in a scout!
