May is here… time to get a sense of what we should be doing for Field Day and for summer gatherings.

Q1: Field Day is coming up! June 25-26 Check all statements which match your intended participation in the club activity?

• A1: I intend to participate in Field Day on site
• A2: I intend to be part of the team to organize on site operations
• A3: I intend to operate CW on site
• A4: I intend to operate VHF/UHF/Satellite on site
• A5: I intend to operate overnight (or camp out) on site
• A6: I intend to help do food or non-operating things on site (no license req'd)
• A7: I'm not going to be on site, but will participate from home
• A8: I am a new ham, and want to learn how FD works and operate!
• A9: Dang! I can't do DSRC FD this year (might drop by)

We have possibilities for location and will be wiser about multi-op signal interference this year. And we need a team to plan equipment, tents, etc. Yes, leadership too!

Suggestions, things you want the planning team to know, etc?

Q2: Summer Activities (July, August) What sort of summer programs would you prefer (maybe pick two or three)?

• B1: Tuesday Virtual (Webex) Meetings with a speaker
• B2: Shack tours on Tuesday nights (in person)
• B3: Outdoor club operating events like Parks On The Air on weekends
• B4: Field trips to InfoAge, Battleship NJ, etc.
• B5: Take the summer off
• B6: I want to help make DSRC summer activites a success

All these things (except B5) take planning. Normally we learn about folks wanting to participate by informal conversations at meetings. With no in-person meetings, we have not been getting volunteers. The club can do great things.. but we need your help.

Other ideas? Willingness to organize a specific thing?

Thanks. DSRC has lots of possibilities for growth, let's use it to advance amateur radio.
