The Holiday Season

Tis the season to be jolly. The holiday season 2020 is upon us but joy is not everywhere due to the Covid-19 virus.

If you have not dropped the hint of amateur radio equipment you have your eye on, now is the time to do so. I have already completed this aspect of my holiday shopping. Now to get some “stocking stuffers” for the XYL and I will be all set.

Plans for Winter Field Day are underway thanks to Bob, N2EIM, who will give the January program on the subject.

Charlie, N2CTW, and his volunteers are actively engaged in assessing the health of our repeater. If you have not been on the repeater lately, give it a try as it is in good shape now and give us a report on your experience.

I would like to say thank you to Charlie and Bob for stepping up to these tasks. They epitomize my mantra of “Just say Yes”. As we move forward there will be opportunities to volunteer to take on various tasks. Do not be afraid to volunteer as you do not know that you will be started on a “Great Adventure”. You will have any help you need in doing your task. Just remember “Even if you fall on your face, you are still moving forward”. – Victor Kiam.

Everyone has a wonderful Holiday season and, hopefully, we can have a “normal” environment next year.
